Below you'll find definitions for common terms in GymCloud.

Workout Templates - These are standardized “Master Workouts.” You can assign these to several clients when individualized program design isn’t required. For example, you might have a standard Mobility Workout that you assign to all your clients. Additionally, once you have assigned a master workout to a client, you can make unique changes to that client’s copy of the workout without changing the master template.

Individualized Workout - A workout associated with a Client that has either been assigned from a Workout Template and modified, or one that has been created specifically for that client.

Workout Event - A scheduled, in progress, or completed workout. These can all be found in the Calendar.

Program Templates - These are standardized “Master Programs.” You can assign these to several clients when individualized program design isn’t required. Additionally, once you have assigned a master program to a client, you can make unique changes to that client’s copy of the program without changing the master template.

Individualized Program - A program associated with a client that has either been assigned from a Program Template and modified, or one that has been created specifically for that client.

Assigned Exercise - An exercise included in an assigned workout or program, or an exercise that has been individually assigned to a client. These will appear in your clients' Exercises section.

Client Group - Clients organized into a group, so that you can easily assign workouts and programs to all the members at one time. For example, you may have a class with all members using the same Barbell Strength Program. In this situation, you can create a group, add each member, and assign this program to the entire group, instead of assigning the program individually to each client.

Archive

  • When you Archive a client, you keep them associated with your account, but remove their access to the app. For billing purposes, they will not be counted as one of your active clients. Archiving is useful when you are no longer training a client, but feel that you may train them again in the future. You can always Restore them to “active” status later.
  • When you Archive a client's workout or program, you remove their access to it but keep it associated with their account. If you Restore the workout or program, they will again be able to access it and perform workouts.
